Lookie Lookie is pretty much our house band at the Distillery. We keep having them back because they are so much fun. They are an extraordinary 8 piece Latin band who generate a smile inducing, dance provoking sound, blending Afro-Caribbean grooves with elements of soul, rock and pop. With four percussionists, three horns, bass and vocals in Spanish and English, Lookie always creates a Cuban street party atmosphere.

Latin Bugalú was the sound of the late 1960's, emanating from New York and traveling across the Latin music world. Songs by Eddie Palmieri, Ricardo Ray, Joe Cuba, Pete Rodriguez, George Guzman, Jimi Hendrix and more, These 8 wonderful musicians honor this music like very few others:

Jorge Arce plays bongó, cowbell and claves
Rick Barry plays timbales
Ken Winokur plays guiro, claves, shekere, Vibraslap and probably other things
Gregory Ryan plays the Ampeg baby bass
Eric Ortiz plays trumpet
Melanie Howell Brooks plays alto sax and flute
Russ Gershon play tenor sax and flute and does the arrangements
