Sky & Korn
Sky & Korn’s music has origins in Spanish flamenco and Latin classical guitar, Balkan grooves and meters, West African and Latin percussion, and is influenced by jazz, blues, reggae, the Doors, Tori Amos and others. Fronted by classically and pop-trained vocalist Sharon Sky and co-writer composer/multi-instrumentalist Ivan Korn, they are joined by Senegal-trained percussionist Riccardo Randellinni and jazz upright/electric bass player Richard Hale-Shaw. Their music is mystical, emotional and sensual, flowing naturally through topics from ancient cultures to love triangles, abusive relationships to intimacy.
