plainfacedgirl is a feminist solo act with a lot of story telling and dancing. She creates a judgement free environment, with the hopes that her audience can find a space of acceptance and love. As a Chicago bred artist, plainfacedgirl resembles a mashup of jazz based sampling, synth driven beats, and slam poetry like the innovative midwest artists before her. When she moved to Boston for school, she linked up with some amazing artists from all over to create her latest project doubledutch. Since then she has released a music video for her song pickup, released a single called how come?, and co created an independent tour across the east coast called the girls like you tour. She is excited to perform with some of Boston''s finest, Connis and Lord Felix, at the notorious Sally O''Briens on January 31st, 2020.
