Joel Jerome is a native of Raymond, Maine, in the Sebago Lake Region, a rural and remote area near Portland. At the age of fourteen, Joel wrote a novel, evincing the creativity and work ethic that would underlie his musical efforts. His experiences of rural, but beautiful isolation, juxtaposed with a lifelong commitment to adventure, travel, and success in the wider world provide a starting point for his craft. The rebirth of Americana and its themes of beauty, desolation, and loneliness in American life are deeply embedded in Joel’s music. After being connected to producer Dave Brophy by Boston’s Ruby Rose Fox, Joel’s debut album, Fall to Pieces, will be released in the spring of 2018.

Joel Jerome album Fall to Pieces will be release digitally everywhere May 1st.

Fall to Pieces is the Maine native’s debut album. It was recorded at Revolution Sound Studio in Charlestown, MA and produced by Dave Brophy. The music combines a folk sound with an indie rock feel and also draws parallels to Americana.

The lead single My Retreat https://soundcloud.com/jajerome/03-jj-my-retreat-16441-v11/s-DXMer is a self-reflective song centered around the passing of time and incorporates the regrets of the past and contemplation about the future. Joel drew much influence from the poetical lyrics of Bob Dylan.

Artist Ruby Rose Fox has been mentoring Joel for several years, and also guest stars with backup vocals on “My Retreat.”

 Joel grew up outside of Portland Maine immersed in the music scene. His influences come from classic rock, folk, indie rock and Americana.

 He now resides in Boston, MA..

 A premier show will be June 15th at the Burren (Backroom Series).
