The Band That Time Forgot
The Band That Time Forgot began in 1985 with a Best of Boston Award. It featured: Peter “Head West” Hoffman on Guitar, Richard “Rainbow” Gates on bass, and Tim “Stash” Jackson on drums. Now, with the retirement of Larry “Sonny California” Luddecke, they have brought on board the incredible Tom “Wild Wild” West on keyboards and Hammond organ. Their impeccable renditions of lesser-known songs from the late 1960s won them an early “Best of Boston” Award. Their mantra is: “We play all original songs. We just didn’t write them”. They have worked together in various incarnations and individually with the likes of John Hammond, Robin Lane and the Chartbusters, Willie Nile, Suzanne Vega, Dennis Brennan, LaVern Baker, Ellis Paul, Tom Rush, Vance Gilbert, Vas Deferens, Chuck McDermott, and Peter Wolf and so many more. Their many years together have only increased the fun and skill with which they deliver the quirky musical chestnuts that make up their substantial playlist. Turn On, Tune In, Drop By!
