Bootleg Dan Presents: Mike Younger Trio with Hummingbird Syndicate, Satch Kerans Band
Mike Younger was a street performer working in New Orleans when he was “discovered” by country music legend Rodney Crowell, who then produced Mike’s debut release Somethin’ In The Air (2000).
Since that fateful turn of events, Mike has written, performed, recorded and released an impressive body of work and his music and songwriting continue to earn him new fans all over the world.
His most recent release Burning The Bigtop Down (2021) is the masterful result of a hard-fought battle to reclaim his lost recordings with rock legends Levon Helm and Jim Dickinson and rhythm and blues legends Spooner Oldham and David Hood.
Since the release of Burning The Bigtop Down he has performed hundreds of shows in the Midwest, MidAtlantic, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, and Pacific Northwest regions.

Satch Kerans Band - Drawing on such influences as Barry and The Remains, Peter Case and Steve Wynn, Tom “Satch” Kerans has been a longtime fixture on the Boston/North Shore music scene starting with his days as the frontman of the 1980’s seminal band the Catalinas, whose local hit “Heart Don’t Feel Too Safe”, rose to the top of the local charts on Boston FM radio powerhouse WBCN during the station's heyday. The Catalinas opened shows for many national artists including NRBQ, Little Steven and The Disciples of Soul, Charlie Sexton, and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. Since the Catalinas disbanded in the late 90’s, Kerans has gone onto a successful solo career releasing seven well received albums. Jonathan Perry of the Boston Globe stated, “Kerans gets better and surer with age”, while fanzine the Noise cited Kerans’ “Great songs and old fashioned chops”. His most recent release is the single, "Those Lies” on Bandcamp, which has received airplay all over the world through internet radio and has been featured several times on satellite radio via Sirius.xm courtesy of Little Steven's Underground Garage thanks to disc jockeys (with heavy cred!) Genya Ravan, Palmyra Delran and Rodney Biggenheimer. Kerans has been keeping a busy schedule with gigs at The Parkside Lounge in New York City, The Square Root in Boston, The Plough And Stars in Cambridge, as well as his home base The Rhumbline in Gloucester, MA. Signing with Boston independent label Rock Garden Records in November of 2023, Kerans is poised to release his first single for Rock Garden titled “Chantel”, dealing with the topical issue of gender fluidity.
