Barrence Whitfield,
a distinguished American soul and Rhythm & Blues vocalist, rose to prominence as the dynamic frontman of Barrence Whitfield & the Savages in the 1980s and 1990s. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Whitfield's musical journey began in East Orange, New Jersey, where he sang in a gospel choir during his childhood. His passion for music continued at Boston University, where he studied journalism and caught the attention of musician Peter Greenberg, leading to the formation of The Savages.

The band quickly gained acclaim for their electrifying stage presence, described as "raucous and rough," embodying the spirit of soul legends like Little Richard and Wilson Pickett. With a string of albums, including their self-titled debut and "Dig Yourself," the group earned international recognition. Whitfield's career extended beyond the Savages, contributing to tribute albums and collaborating with artists like Tom Russell. With a remarkable discography, including "Savage Kings" and "Dig Thy Savage Soul," Barrence Whitfield continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his soulful voice and energetic performances.

Renowned saxophonist Mark Earley stands as a two-time Grammy Nominee and a distinguished member of the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame. With an illustrious career marked by six W.C. Handy Awards, Earley's musical journey has taken him to prestigious venues worldwide, from the grandeur of NYC's Lincoln Center to the soulful stages of The San Francisco Blues Festival. His global reach extends to iconic locations like The Moscow International Performing Arts Centre, The Zouk Mikael International Festival in Beirut, Lebanon, and The Le Méridien Etoile's Jazz Club as part of the JBL Jazz Festival in Paris. Warehouse XI is a fun, informal event space located in Union Square with a mix of standing room and seating with plenty of space to dance and move around. It has a wine and beer (and more) bar and while no food is served, there are many great places a few steps away to eat at before or after the show or to pick up stuff to bring in with you (our fav is Wade's BBQ!).
