The loss of our beloved friend, Hugh McGowan hurts no less than the day we all heard the news.

Going forward this annual celebration of Hugh's life will occur on the Tuesday closest to his birthday.

This year's celebration will be run straight up "Open Mic" style on stage, just like Hugh's Open Mic.  We'll set up a back line of gear including a drum set, bass amp, guitar amp and piano.

SIGN UP INFO:

 - Doors will be at 6 pm.  Show @ 7 pm

 - Names put in the hat by 6:45 will get first priority.

 - We will except names in a second hat after that, but will only be pulled after the first hat has played.  Put your name in the hat anytime if you can't make it early.

 - The only priority given will be to friends who have traveled from out of the New England area or from out of the country

 - We will have a backline of drums, bass and guitar amp, piano and plenty of mics.  We'll have an in house guitar as well.

 - The amount of songs each artists performs will depend on how large the list is.  We expect this night to be crowded and this may be a one song open mic.

Just like Hugh’s legendary Tuesday night Open Mic or a late evening speakeasy up on Heath Street this event will be open to all.

It still doesn't seem real that he's gone.  He will never be forgotton. Let's get together and celebrate the life of our dear friend in a room that will ring with his energy forever.
