Born and raised in New York, Doully fell in love with the guitar at the age of 13. His ensuing years of youth were immersed in the music of guitar legends including that of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Johnson, and Pat Martino. Doully's wide array of influences and experiences are channeled into songs that borrow from blues, rock, jazz, and folk  – all without ever losing a current pop sensibility. His writing touches on the things close to his heart: his insecurities, his relationships, and his faith. It walks the fine balance of being wholly relatable while staying remarkably honest to himself.
